This little paragraph dilutes the total importance of the MauMau - TopicsExpress

This little paragraph dilutes the total importance of the MauMau victims court case. Sounding arrogant and with a superior attitude still. Almost as if to say that the British govt or rather past colonial govt were responsible for the present day Kenya we now live in. Which is in fact an insult if this be the case. The present day Kenya is decades behind in development after inheriting the British colonial mentality of "divide and rule" and "tribal animosity" into being indoctrinated in Kenyas past regimes during the last 50 yrs. Praising those who contributed to the many deaths and present day bad governance and leadership is not a reconciliatory message. Its a finger to all Kenyans that you are not responsible for your own present and future. We did not ask nor choose to be colonised. QUOTE: We recognise that British personnel were called upon to serve in difficult and dangerous circumstances. Many members of the colonial service contributed to establishing the institutions that underpin Kenya today and we acknowledge their contribution.
