This makes me sad :( I am relived I got my Mirana IUD before companies could decide not to cover them. My hubs company does not cover IUDs anymore. For me, Mirana iud is a wonderful thing!! Ive used it for 10 years (on my second one). Fear of an unplanned pregnancy can really affect your feelings of desire and marital happiness. I cant take the pill (the hormones, even low-dose, make me sick) Spermicides...well they burn, so I guess it is birth control if your crotch feels like it is on fire. Condoms-I dont like them, for a couple of reasons that are TMI. But it rubs uncomfortably. Skin moves (latex doesnt). Latex can give you friction burns or just feel not right. The Mirana was the absolute best thing for me! I love not having to think about birth control or remember to take a pill, or buy condoms. As much as I loved having kids, I had rough pregnancies. I have had nightmares where the doctor is telling me I am pregnant and I am crying. So it is really important for me to feel confident in my birth control. I dont like that birth control options (like IUDs) for women are being narrowed.
