This makes perfect sense if you have spent you life talking about baseball, and watching baseball and playing Fantasy League baseball. But if baseball is in your DNA and you play baseball, especially a lot of baseball over a lot of years, you understand why Jeter is special. You always get great baseball under all the circumstances. He hits bad pitchers, and he hits good pitchers. He is not Mr October he is Mr February thru November every year all the time day in and day out. And BTW, his offensive numbers at SS put him in an elite category. He is an absolutely rock solid SS who has instincts beyond the comprehension of the casual observer. In 20 years he hasnt thrown anybody under the bus and the scavengers in the media havent laid a finger on him. I have personally seen, Mantle and Yogi and Whitey and Ted. They were flawed.
