This mama needs some help! NO BASHING I have a5 year old son named Noah and me and his father are not together and it was not a good split.. we have our periods of tolerating each other and hating each other. and lets just say hes not father of the year he sees his son 2-3 times a week but no help financially. Anyways, well I heard about the Elf on the Shelf concept at Christmas time last year.. and I see on Pinterest about a Halloween concept. So I found a cute little friendly ghost and set him up and made up a cute story about how he will come every year and tell Noah how many days of Halloween are left and leave little treats and move around the house when were not here.. but Im secretly moving it.. Noah loved it and I explained to him that was Halloween is over he goes away... well he asked a day to take it to show until tomorrow in his kindergarten class so he could tell them about it and I put it in his backpack and he went to his dads today and told him about it. well his dad sent me a text cursing wanting to know why I told him it was a real ghost.. and I called and called and he finally answered and I tried to explain the concept to him and he still freaked out cursing saying he didnt care what other family said our son wasnt going to do that. and that hes going to take it in the class and people are going to think hes crazy. and it really hurt my feelings because I thought it was just a cute innocent imaginative concept.. but am I wrong on this? is he right and I shouldnt do it? I was so excited to think I could do one for each holiday and Noah would love it.. but now Im so discouraged. and I know my son will want to talk to me in the morning and Im not sure what I should say or if I should just stop this idea altogether for explain to him again about the ghost not being real or what do I say?..
