This mammoth anti-war, humanitarian masterpiece (no other word for it) is well worth the time you invest in it. The trilogy is 9 and a half hours long. I have made it past the 6 hour mark, and know that some of the images I have seen will stay with me for a long, long time. Once I get to the end, I will have to look at the whole thing analytically and reason as to why this may just be the greatest war film ever made.
