This may be a long one. I just love how people hear one side of a story and go with it. Im sure 90% of people know by now anyway so heres a brief description of the actual story. My friends house was broken into and had alot of stuff stolen from it. He filed a police report on everything that was stolen and also had pictures of every single item. but obviously the police have better things to do than look for tool boxes and car parts Ect ect. We found out who did it and where some of the stuff was. It was a guy he has been helping out for a while that has been in a lot of trouble and currently on probation . So instead of sending him to prison we simply confronted him and told him we could drop the charges and keep the police out of it we just wanted to get his stuff back. He gave us all the stuff out of his van that he had stolen from the house and then took us to a shop where he told us he was storing the tool boxes. The kid that was working at the shop willingly let us in the shop and we told him everything that was going on. I even told the guy to get all of his tools out of the boxes we werent there to steal anything just simply get someone elses stuff back that was stolen. He got all have his tools out of the box and even some it wasnt sure about and then even helped us roll them out. At no point was anyone harmed or threatened. We didnt have enough room for everything so we told him to simply have the stuff back to where it belongs by in the morning and we wouldnt involve the police. Instead of doing that he called and pressed charges for this insanely idiotic story that somehow Clevelands Finest City Police Department believed. And the amazing thing is you can call and press charges on anyone for anything and have a warrant put out immediately. So we simply turned our selves in and paid off the bond. To this day we have still not been asked to give the statement for our side of the story to the city police. When the county police heard the stories they thought it was an absolute joke considering the guy that filed the charges has an arrest record a mile long and is currently on probation. Im not going to type out the story word for word but it is quite hysterical. Like the part where we beat them both but neither one of them have any marks. Or the part where we kicked the heavily reinforced metal frame door in but yet there is no damage to it considering the guy was there to let us in the door when we pulled up. The funny part of all this is the guy that had all of this stuff stolen has pictures of every single item we obtained back its kinda hard to steal your own stuff. We simply tried to do the right thing for someone and got caught up in a bad situation all because he was afraid he was going to take charges for stealing this stuff so therefore he tried to turn the story on us. In doing so all he did was cornered his self with possession of stolen property and they both made theirselves look like fools in the process. Even after all this Im not the least bit mad. I am somewhat aggravated at all of the rumors that people just pick up and believe. And I am most aggravated at the fact that the city police simply put out warrants without ever even picking up the phone or even thinking about hearing our side of the story. All the city police officersbcare about is getting that bust. Building that big ego that they think they are god for some reason, just because they carry a badge. Quite frankly its an absolute joke. Luckily we went to the Bradley County Sheriffs Office where we were actually treated like human beings. Where they look at both sides of the story and see a known drug dealing criminal file charges against three guys that have never been in trouble in their life and cost them thousands of dollars over nothing. So yes as of now the Cleveland City police dept is an absolute joke. They care about one thing and one thing only and thats publicity. How do you charge someone with three felonies and you have never even heard their voice or met them. How do you set someones bond at $30,000 but yet you have no idea what happened. How do you charge someone was stealing something that was reported stolen from the very same person you are now accusing a week earlier. You take money from tax payers to pay for your fancy training on how to interrogate people but yet never put it to use.after all of this I feel like karma goes around and there is no sense in revenge or anything like that. They both know what they did was wrong and they both know they are nothing but low lifes. So Meanwhile I will just pay the money and get this all over with and I guess learn to judge people a lot better. With that being said NO I HAVE NEVER HIT ANYONE WITH A WEAPON. NO I HAVE NEVER COMIITED A ROBERY. NO I HAVE NEVER STOLEN ANYTHING. . I simply went to help a friend get some of the stuff back that was stolen from him and got drug into a big mess. People can believe exactly what they want to believe thats totally up to them. It just really helps me see who my friends are in the end. Like my best friend being my wife who was beside me the entire time for anything I needed and my other amazing friends that had the money ready to bail me out at any time whether they had that spare money to spend or not. I could say so much more about this situation. I could literally go on for days about my thoughts right now. But for some reason I dont feel the least bit angry. God has a plan for everyone and one day all of these people will have to answer for the things they have done. Not saying Im perfect but I go to work every single day and bust my ass to get the things I have. I buy and sell stuff constantly to make extra money I put my family first and make sure they have everything they need. and now I lose $3000 because some idiot didnt want to face the consequences for what he did. Also because some city police officer was too lazy to pick up a phone or come talk to us. People can think exactly what they want you are entitled to your own opinion. At the end of the day I know that I do everything I can to be a good person. I dont really know what I did to deserve this but Im sure its all part of a plan. And I would like to thank everyone that called to check on me and to actually consider my side of the story.. Sorry for the long post just have a lot on my mind lately.
