This may sound a bit sacrilegious, but a little take away from last nights Dallas Detroit game--the apostle Paul writes to tell early Christians, specifically his mentored little brother Timothy--fight the good fight. Surprisingly, this has been the Cowboys mantra all year, and it clearly shows, they didnt give up when things got nasty. They got some really good breaks I will admit, but so did Detroit at times. Now heres the point, I know a lot of people will say they won with a gimme/mulligan type scenario. Isnt that what the Biblical narrative of salvation is? As a Christian, isnt your faith contingent and hope in the fact that Jesus is what justifies you as redeemed and ultimately considered a winner? Isnt your salvation a win with an asterix? With the multitude of saints ahead of you spurring you on, as the author of the letter Hebrews describes, keep fighting. Your fight, like this game, doesnt have to be a pretty, but that you keep fighting--dont give up. Couple that with Stuart Scotts Esspy Speech on fighting with cancer--dying with cancer is not defeat..its why, how, and with what purpose do you fight. Just a few thoughts, let me know yours.... m.youtube/watch?v=Yl_0ieqSi7Q#
