This may sound like a dumb question but I am not fluent in the Ojibway language, I lived with this name my whole life and never really understood the meaning, if any, behind it. Does anyone know what "WEMIGWANS" means? I ask my Language Professor in University and he explained, the last part "migwans" means feather and the first part "we" means kind like falling or waving............so my interpretation is waving feather.
