This might be one reason, I was able to be more free with who I am, doing my own thing creatively than some of my peers. A) I spent more time trying to be out of school than in... B) I spent more time away from TV living in the woods for several years growing up, doing more creative things to keep myself entertained... simply less programming and conditioning, or perhaps we could call it training like domesticated animals. Just those two differences in my life helped me to identify early what I wanted to do, what I wanted to be after high school. Did I go to college? No, I had a free ride offered, but instead I asked for a co-signature on a loan to get out making noise by buying a PA/lights and a bus to hit the road. I wanted to experience music, I didnt want to learn about it in a sterile environment like on paper. Music to me was about being surrounded by volume, by sonic frequency. It was about making noise that felt good...to me and to others, it was a joining force that helped bring people together and made them feel something at the same time, more than words alone will ever do.
