This might get the award for strangest prayer post, but here we go. This Summer my family visited Mount St. Helens. This was the first time Id witnessed the enormity of devastation first hand. And when I think about what the Goetze family is going through, this is the closest thing I could relate it to. Although, I dont assume to have any real idea. How could I? While at Mount St. Helens I learned about this beautiful wild flower. The purple lupine. There are breathtaking blankets of them now. They were one of the first things that started blooming after the eruption. Its roots perfectly suited to sustain it in the volcanic ash. So with this in mind Ive been praying purple lupines over your family. (I told you, kinda of strange) That God would plant blessings in the middle of heart ache, turn what was meant for harm into glory to Him. That there would be favor, joy, and ultimately healing. Our God is the only One who can do this ~ only He can make the seed grow! May your family experience many purple lupines this Christmas season.
