This morning, I am very thankful for the musical people that I have known throughout my life. Garrett and I are home from church, Ive got a killer headache. We had our own little time of Bible of study and listened to some worship music. While the songs were playing, I became very aware of how blessed I am to have had the following people in my life, and to have played music with them and/or listen to them sing: 1. my grandfather (Pappy)- top notch accordion and harmonica player- my first musical hero 2. Debbie Smith- my piano teacher, taught me from 5th-12th grades 3. Lois Jones Howell and Paul Howell- beautiful voices and guitar playing- through them I learned one of my favorite songs- Born to Die 4. Laurie Jones Blomberg- I always had fun with our 4 hands 1 Piano songs we would do 5. Pastor Cal Jones- singer/guitarist/BIG impact on me as a teen 6. my wife Carolyn Purcell Culley- outstanding flutist/best friend 7.Pastor Ryan DayWill StanleyWalker Day- in this latest chapter of my life, these brothers in Christ have not only provided fellowship, but the opportunity to jam with on a pretty consistent basis. Music is truly one of Gods greatest creations.
