This morning I awoke thinking of the Fruit of the Spirit ! Joy! A smile came to my face! For over a year ago I was at a conference where pure liquid joy fell on me and my Granddaughter. We did not know anyone else at the conference. As we went to the conference it was after the fire. We arrived and listen to many speakers but on the last night! We felt a pure joy over take us our hearts were full of pure joy. We could not stop laughing! We wanted to share but I think some people just thought we were drunk and she was only like 14 or 15! Did you know in the Bible it says there is no law against Joy! Along with other fruits joy can be freely given. You must receive joy! I had never experienced anything like it but I knew it was a gift! As I had gone to conference I was beginning to feel burden down with what was I going to do! So many decisions my life was changed and nothing was going to be the same. Joy was the same it did not change! When I felt the joy it was laughter and laughing so hard you side hurt and you could not stop the joy! It rolled over me and over me! I finally got back to my room at the Hotel laughing all the way! I even fell down giggling! Trying to place the card in the door! Two having joy was incredible for we buried our heads in our pillow and tried to stop laughing. One of us would look at the other and laugh the harder. I use to be so tired when I came home from work and Grandchildren would get up bed with me start laughing and could not stop. I would laugh for a while but I would get tired of all the joy and say now it is time to sleep. Grandma had to get up and go to work. Now as I see them turning into young women I want the laughter and joy for them always. It is so easy to lose your joy and it is such a precious gift the Lord gives to us. I can sit sometimes alone in the house and think of the wonderful night of joy with my Granddaughter and I know it will be a night we never forget! A memory of great joy together. Sometimes as life happens or illness we forget how pure joy a simple fruit of the spirit can heal our soul
