This morning I get on Fb and see and see some of the antics that people go through for the sake of their pets. Some of it is pretty funny and I get a chuckle out it of it. I am reminded of a few things that I have seen people do to help the animals in their care. One of my favorites has to be when we got our first cow. It was June of 77. Never having a cow before, (my dad had them growing up but my siblings and I had no clue), we were at.a.loss as to what is a good birth and what is a hard one. My dad, strict and very set in rules, made it very clear that we were to do our best to help the birthing process. Well, we came home from school one day and my little brother went to check on the cow and since he didnt come right back to the house I thought I better go check on him. I walked up the hill to where the cow was and was coming around a blind corner. There in the middle of the drive was my little 11 yr old brother in mid air on the butt end of the cow. He had a hold of the 2 tiny hooves protruding from the cow and a foot on each side of the cows butt suspended in mid air. He looked at.me with big eyes, tears streaming down his face. I know that he was scared and I probably should have given him some comforting words but instead I doubled over from laughing so hard. It was a Kodak moment without the Kodak. I would so black mail him today if I had a picture.
