This morning I got up thinking and being obsessed with big vocals on recordings… Partly because I was studying my childhood friend Jacob Miller production by the Lewis twins last night and those vocals were huge even by todays standard… I started to compare it to Rihannas big vocal… It seemed to me there is usually not a lot of instrumentation in the main octave of the lead vocal… Today I am gonna study a lot more on this… I think some people call it the voicings of the chord!!!… I wonder if this was the main trick of the old reggae masters… I think it might be like a similar concept I learned from Roscoe about overdubbing in octaves… I think I am going to refer to the octave ranges of an orchestra and positioning… Blessed be!!!... youtu.be/rGRn02utPVE
