This morning I stopped to see Jim Corrao and ask him if it was ok to take a few pictures of the cabins behind his house on 820 Water St PdS He told me more information than I had hoped for. Not sure when these were built but definitely prior to 1940s. He said in 1942 they took 14 of easement of this property.to extend the railroad to Badger. Did you know that before that the railroad only went to the lot North of the bridge? The horses and wagon would back in there and load and unload to the train. Not sure if that was the old bridge or the current bridge. Help! Also Sid Cook had owned this property after Bill Blaha, Gordy Whit?, Dick Pelanek? As you can see from the plot map, there were 6 cottages. The end of the garage, had two bathrooms/showers, one for the woman and one for the men. (there still is a bathroom there) Also a shared kitchen where you could make your food to take back to the cabins. Only two of the cottages remain, but it was nice to go back in time.
