This morning I was awakened around 5am, I felt like God was trying to tell me something. Well after two hours of tossing and turning, praying and asking, Im still waiting. Im in no hurry, when He is ready, He will tell me, in the mean time, I heard a piece on WFRN yesterday that made me think of a friend of mine. Im sure if he reads this he will recognize himself and nod his head, knowing Im talking about him, and many of us. When we are driving, we come across some real challenges, bad driving conditions, like weather or construction, and of course pot holes. Those are there often, but the thing I want to relate to today is that inconsiderate driver, that one that doesnt move when the light turns green, or the green arrow comes on and they seem to be comatose, until after it shuts off, then races through the intersection, causing people to slam on their brakes, and lay on their horns. Who are you, when that driver is in front of you, are you one that is yelling at them, talking smack, getting angry. A Christian comedian, talked about that yesterday, his grandchildren reminded him that they couldnt hear him, and he said he knew that, thats why they invented the horn, and he blasted his horn at them. Then it dawned on him that it wasnt a very good example for his grandchildren, to see this behavior. I want to take this a step further, is this the behavior He wants to see in us, is this the love He expects from us, is our time so precious, that we cant be patient for a few minutes. Think how patient He is with us, as He waits for us to get Him, and what He wants from us. He only honks the horn when we repeatedly miss the light turning green, then itd usually just a tap on the horn. We all run into that driver that does something to push our buttons, instead of pushing that button in the middle of the steering wheel, can we find the one called patience, maybe take the time we are waiting for them, and pray for them and ourselves. We will all be better off for it, Lord let us find the patience to deal with others the way You deal with us, grant us Your love for that person God, that we can smile and wait, and look for the horn, and only tap it lightly, AMEN.
