This morning I went to church with my mom, Kellie and my grandma. It instantly didnt feel the same when we walked in and I didnt see my papaw sitting in the pew. Towards the end of the service, my grandma walked up to the podium and told a story. It went something along the lines of I was sitting in the living room going through a stack of papers and Kellie was across the room reading, of course. She looked at me and said Memaw, Papaw got the greatest gift for Christmas.❤️ Then my grandma sat down. Ive struggled a lot with my faith these last few months... Ive been angry with God for taking away the center of our family... Needless to say, my grandma saying that this morning brought me to uncontrollable tears and an understanding that I thought would take years to obtain. Ive been seeing a lot of things on here about Alec Dye being laid to rest this weekend. I wasnt close to him by any means, but Ive seen how many people are hurting and suffering since he left this world. What I have to say to all of you is.... He got the greatest gift. Everlasting life in Heaven. ❤️
