This morning I woke early as I had a very difficult time going to sleep last night with so much on my mind. But because I was up early I was treated to one of the most gorgeous morning skies I have ever seen. Now like you we sit and wait for Hurricane Gonzalo to destroy so much of our beautiful flora and fauna. For those that truly know me they would know how much this depresses me. I do know there is nothing I can do about it but I hate seeing a magnificent tree that may be hundreds of years old destroyed in hours or an awesome palm that may be fifty plus years come crashing to the ground. I will be very honest I am not at all looking forward to what I will see on Saturday looking at the size and power of this hurricane. Having had my landscaping company for over thirty years I have endured both Hurricane Emily and Fabian and the memories are horrible. I did have a good cry this morning just thinking about what was ahead. But agreed with the fact that we are a sub-tropical island with ideal growing conditions and we will bounce back. I keep telling myself this is natures way of pruning. Anyway I shared some of my personal pain with you. Thanks!! I truly do hope first and foremost that no one is hurt during the hurricane. We have an agonizing period ahead. I am sure many will feel like a caged lion. I know I will!!!
