This morning SAPS Douglasdale held a roadblock on Mulbarton Road after calls from the community were received regarding taxis following incorrect routes through Beverley. Around 40 taxis and cars were stopped. SAPS checked whether or not the taxis were following their correct routes and for valid permits. Vehicles were searched for illegal substances, etc. Fines for various infringements were issued. Thank you to SAPS Douglasdale and all those who were involved in this mornings operation.
