This morning, as I read the Facebook posting of my son Khaya Mfo, Im prompted to ponder about true beauty. True Beauty is much more than what any beauty product, plastic surgeon, health practitioner or lifestyle can offer. The secrets to true beauty can be found in the Word of God. I am privileged to know scores and scores of incredibly beautiful people, and I keep on connecting with more and more beautiful people. For instance - I was house sitting for a stunningly beautiful family this past weekend. :-) Here are some biblical revelations (secrets) to true beauty! 1 Peter 3:3-4 Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in Gods sight is very precious. She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her; those who hold her fast are called blessed. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 1 Peter 3:1-6 Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives, when they see your respectful and pure conduct. Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the. mperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in Gods sight is very precious.
