This morning, as I took my walk (hobbling along due to new knee problems...), I passed a woman on a bench waiting for the bus. She was talking to someone next to her. But there was no one next to her (and she didnt have an earpiece). But maybe there was someone next to her. Maybe her husband, with whom she sat on the bench and had lively conversations for many years, had recently died. Maybe her dog, with whom she took a walk every morning, had passed away. Maybe there was someone there.
