This morning as I was heading to work, I passed by these pupils attending an assembly, and coincidentally, they were singing the National schools anthem. Out of curiosity, I stop just to listen to the sound of that anthem once again, and here were my observations; First stanza is no problem, all the kids are very involved. Second stanza, I notice that the number of voices has reduced, but at least they are still singing. Third stanza, the number of pupils singing is just a handful. Fourth stanza, only the teacher and head boy (coz he was standing at the front) are the only ones singing. The rest are humming.
