This morning fire departments from all over the area practiced a mock wildfire drill in Squaw Valley. Around 50 firefighters were practicing to be prepared for fire season this summer. Fire engines showed up from Squaw, Northstar, Truckee, North Tahoe, North Lake Tahoe, Tahoe Douglas, Cal Fire, Meeks Bay, USFS, air attack and one Cal Fire air tanker to participate in todays drill. Crews anticipate a difficult fire season due to the abnormally dry winter. Like to show your support!
