This morning my dear friend Timothy Nauman past away. I knew Timm for over 18 years and he was my closed oldest friend. For those of us who knew Timm he was an inspiration to live life to the fullest. Over ten years ago he was a victim of a careless car driver and a car accident left him quadriplegic and on a ventilator. Through the grace of God after a year he was removed from the ventilator (most people never are). He took online college courses for computer web design and helped many people including my sister, Miryam Granthon-Gerdine working with nonprofits to manage web sites. He served on the Governors Committee for People with Disabilities. He mentored other young men as they embarked how to live life with paralysis. He fought and won for a quality of life. He mastered the art of head control/joy stick control operation of his power chair. He enjoyed many concerts and nights out on the town with friends and family, he traveled to see Philly games, go whale watching in Boston and overall he lived his life to the fullest. In all his pain (which there was much) he gave time for friends when they were in need. I will miss him tremendously but I know he is at peace, at rest. Alexis Roman Rodriguez and I went to visit him last night at LGH and we were able to pray over him. My dear friend, Timm, I love you and will miss you. Thank you for the years of remarkable memories sharing music, art, growing pains and just time. God bless
