This morning on my way to work flying down I-75 I saw a Brown and white dog who had been hit by a car on the side of the road (fast lane) I quickly thought to myself how dangerous it could be for me to stop on the side to check on him and see if he had identification tags BUT then I thought If that were my Moose, Macy or Bambi that was laying there-I would desperately want to know. I pulled over and ran back to the dog-it was clear he had passed but he had a collar and tags. I made the dreadful call to his owners who said they had been searching for him for a week. Although they were sad they thanked me over and over for the closure they needed and said they would be going to pick him up and give him a proper burial. I was happy to know that in such an awful situation I could be a help to that family.
