This morning on the way to class I was handling the daily routine, gas, coffee, etc. when I went in to pay at the gas station the cashier he asked me if I could give someone a ride up to Cal Lutheran University that a young mans car was being worked on and he needed to get to class. Im always trying to help others who are in there struggle so I said yea that would be fine. A young man was now huffing and puffing in front of the clerk and I but managed to get across that he had missed the bus and wanted a taxis number. I stuck my hand out, introduced myself and told him to jump in. During this car ride I asked him where he was from, how old he was, you know the usual. He was a 20 year old from Saudi Arabia that got a scholarship out here and left his family because all he wanted to be was an american. He went on to tell me he loves being in california because of how free we are. it really made me realize how much of a blessing it is to be in such a beautiful place. I was so happy I picked this kid up and helped him out. moral of the story: always take a chance to help another human being, you never know who youll meet!
