This morning we were blessed with 123 students, teachers, coaches, and parents at Wildcat Worship! Coach Townsend went over student committees & introduced new student leaders. Were going to have an amazing year! Coach Townsend introduced 10+ new students this morning! Praise! We also had a pop-in blessing from Mr Houtchens --- he just stopped by to let us know he was praying for all of us & the club. What a wonderful surprise! Coach Ross blessed Wildcat Worship this morning speaking on the topic of prayer. Coach Ross introduced The Circle Maker by Pastor Mark Batterson. thecirclemaker/ She shared the legend of Honi, the Circle Maker. youtu.be/j0WsmlYWnlE Coach Ross said we need to pray boldly! After watching the video Coach Ross asked, What can we learn from this legend? The students replied, pray bold, God listens, and be specific when we pray. Coach Ross shared scripture: Hebrews 4:16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. We need to pray to see His will -- we need to be open to the will of God. Keys to bold prayer: -Get right with God & man -Agree with Gods word & His will -Believe with an expectation faith -Trust Him -Remember we are not alone -Know prayer has power -Persevere in prayer -Pray with a pure heart -Know that God knows our needs -Obey Him Coach Ross shared an acronym with the students: Push!!!! -Pray -Until -Something -Happens Coach Ross shared scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
