This mornings Air Serbia flight JU 100 from Belgrade to Banja Luka, encountered a technical problem five minutes after the take-off. All crew members acted in line with the relevant regulatory procedures, upon which the Captain brought the decision to return the airplane back to the Belgrade “Nikola Tesla” airport. We deny all stated sensationalist allegations that the airplane was on fire. As a matter of precaution, all airport services were in a state of readiness, which is the standard procedure in all similar circumstances. Flying safety was not in question at any moment, and all passengers have been taken care of and have already reached their final destinations. The cause of the technical problem will be subsequently determined in due course by the authorities in charge.
