“This must be your sister, not your mother!” is what I said - TopicsExpress

“This must be your sister, not your mother!” is what I said to some customers yesterday evening! Their mom was very slim and looked extra young for having kids around the age of 30! Here’s what I found out from them about her – she eats everything, but only when she’s hungry and she doesn’t eat a lot! One day her son asked her, “Mom, what did you eat today?” She replied, “Nothing, because I haven’t been hungry!” This has been my problem as I eat constantly! I see food and think that’s my cue to eat! Here’s where I’m trying to be – eat only when I’m hungry and eat only to a level 5 on the hunger scale, following the principles of ‘Eat To Live’ – mostly fruits, vegetables and unprocessed foods! Last night my kids had pizza for dinner and instead of having slices like the last time we ordered, I only had the crust of a slice that my three year old didn’t finish and instead my daughter Julie and I split a meal of fish, veggies and a little rice and we stopped eating when we were satisfied! I’m so proud of myself that I didn’t have the left over pizza! One moment at a time learning to be conscious of whether or not I’m hungry before eating and what am I putting into my mouth! And am I going to regret it later? I will try to put in 4 miles on the treadmill today! Good bye 20 pounds!
