Lazio’s attacking midfielder, Antonio Candreva, could spark a race for his services in the summer transfer window as the Premier League duo of Manchester United and Tottenham are reported to be in hot-pursuit of the 26-year-old midfielder. The versatile attacker who finally fulfilled his vast potential with Lazio can play in the hole behind the lone striker or on the flanks as he is blessed with excellent pace and dribbling abilities. Candreva struggled during the initial part of his career as he was regularly farmed out but a switch to Lazio in the winter-transfer window of January 2012 ultimately made the difference as he went to establish himself at the Stadio Olimpico. However, Lazio could lose their star-player, as according to reports, the proverbial vultures are now circling above Candreva, as the aforementioned duo of EPL clubs, who are in need of additions to their midfield ranks are all casting their eyes on the attacker. Lazio could find themselves in a precarious situation as they may have to cash in on their dazzling attacker as in addition to the two Premier League clubs, AC Milan, Napoli and Borussia Dortmund are also reported to be keen on signing Candreva.
