This one made me smile. I was instantly taken back to our little house, the one that burned and I saw four children sitting each one in their own tomato box hooked like a train in the middle of the living room floor and then once I found them all dressed up in a dry bathtub sitting in a single line and they told me they were on a big boat trip. In my mind I saw stop signs and roadblocks they set up all over the yard as they played like their bikes and big wheels were really cars and truck. I remembered the ironing board sat up in the living room with a bed sheet thrown over it and again they got all dressed up and had a tea party, the ironing board was their table. Books were all over the living room as they played library and book mobile. My pizza pans were stuck into chairs that had became ovens or at least in their minds. They would go outside and pick weeds and pretend they were poor and homeless and alone and they had to try to make it all alone. It was such an adventure. They had great imaginations and spent their childhood pretending one great thing after the other. Thats why I love this picture, I had little ones just like that and I know that in the minds of these two little boys there is no doubt they are really flying. Take time to pretend with your children, its one of the things that turns little boys and girls into outstanding men and women.
