This one will blow your mind! It did mine! This is a picture of Draa field before it was a football stadium. The following is a quote from a fellow Titusville Native who remembers the baseball games played there: The Negro League played baseball there long before it became the football field. The stadium was concrete and curved just as in the picture and had a roof over it. The seating area was steep and went up many rows. There was a Home and a Visitors dressing room and showers. After several years they fenced the property. My dad helped build the little concrete ticket booths as you entered the property. They were still there when we played there too. He couldnt remember a date when they tore the concrete stand down and put the wooden stadium seating in. They also marked out the ground for football games and THS played there before it became totally dedicated for football. My dad used to referee at those games back in the 30s and 40s.
