This past week our family spent a week in Minnesota family members - TopicsExpress

This past week our family spent a week in Minnesota family members I have never met and who Many has not seen in many years. This past week was awesome in so many ways. However, I would like to talk about this one great revelation. I saw a 300,000 car drive down a dirt road in front of my father-in-laws house but a tractor flew by the house with no concerns. Then it hit me! 1). Whats the point of something if we cant enjoy it but in few places. 2). We drive as we live (too fast and too reckless). The owner of the car did not want to get dust or damage the car on the rock and dirt, so he drove slow (as an ant) until he reached the road. Then he would speed down the road. The car does not meet the necessary requirement of all of the living conditions. However, another man drove his tractor and a truck down the road with no concerns. Why? The truck is built for both and the tractor is built for both. It has a genuine purpose. We want the glamour of the fancy car but it does not suit our needs for all occasions. Just like some Christians, they love to point out the faults of others or speak the Bible only when it is convenient to them. We must have a mindset of having the appropriate vehicle to drive the message to the masses of lost souls. Let go of your selfish ways and allow God to move you in the vehicle that will meet all needs in life. Lastly, I realized for myself that I drive too fast in life. I speed through taking little inventory lately. I realized that I drive not to see the beauty but to do the job. In that manner, I miss Gods creation and the ability to meet the needs of God. Maybe, we all drive a little too fast now-in-days. We dont take time to see the green, smell the flowers, or take time to watch the clouds. We are hindered at the end of the day by schedules, deadlines, and self-appointed restriction. How about today we leave the fast car in the garage and take out the tractor. Enjoy the time! Last thing, when I was little I used to drive my grandfathers tractor to take bails of hay out to pastures. Those days you enjoyed the air, the sights, the smells, and the time. How I long for the days of Heaven! Where my gaze will be towards the throne; basking in the glory of the light that flows from it. Are you driving too fast? Lord, slow me down. Lord, let me see the glory of the land, the spirit, and Your presence.
