This past weekend, Eric Roberts, Mary Condon Murray, Kathryn L. Roseen went to the Votebuilder training. We learned some good stuff and even got to meet IL House Speaker Michael Madigan. We also ran into Martha Shugart, Jim Stadler, and Grundy County Chairman Mike Clemmons. So if anyone has any votebuilder issues, we may be able to help. One of the new items we found...one that will be a great tool for us, is the MiniVan phone app. This app is made for iOS and Android. You basically create a list and click on the MiniVan icon and it sends the list to the app. This app, instead of having a handful of papers, gives you a list of people, a map, and the ability to modify their status...marking them as home, not home...and if not home, reasons why. Since many of us do have smartphones and tablets, this will be an awesome tool in the future for walk lists. We definitely need to schedule a class to clarify what the functions on the site do. Even as an IT person, I found some of this confusing as a lot of it is not very instituter or user friendly. This class helped to clarify this, so hopefully we can pass this knowledge on to the rest of you!!
