This past weekend I traveled to Orlando to speak at an event. The entire time, I thought about Logan.. What he ate, drank & if he missed me. I would Skype, FaceTime & call Logan to get his attention & at times he smiled but went about playing his toys. I rushed home after landing at 10pm & was thankful that Logan waited up for me. I ran through the door & he has the biggest smile on his little face! I hugged him & he hugged me back. I took him upstairs & I nursed him & rocked him to sleep. I just wanted to be close with Logan after being away for 2 days. It made me wonder about our relationship with Jesus. Does He long to be intimate with us daily? Does Jesus tug on your heart to get your attention, longing to see you smile at Him but youre too busy playing with your toys? Do you even give Him your attention anymore? I believe that God WANTS to be close to us. Last night really made me ponder: I was away from Logan for 2 days without really communicating with him or holding him & it TORE me apart. How long have some of us been away from Jesus without communicating with Him? He longs to be close to you again & someone moved. And.. It wasnt God. Get back to that place of prayer & give God His space back. 💕
