This past weekend, someone asked me a hard question that required a difficult answer. They asked me if I was the best educator I could possibly be. Though my pride wanted to say yes the honest answer was no. You see, I am a work in progress. I am an ever-evolving creature who is in a constant state of improvement & growth. If that person asks me the same question 20 years from now, Ill probably answer it the same way. Truthfully, I never want to feel like Im the best, because that means that complacency has set in. Dont get me wrong, I will always strive to be the best educator I can be, but I doubt that I will ever reach my exceedingly high expectations. My students though... they are the BEST, and in this educators eyes... thats all that really matters!!
