This personal note to me is worth sharing... Dear Osumba, Thanks Sir for you inspiration and passionate plenary session. It was awesome just to hear you addressing us and giving all of us a challenge Together We Are Better I strongly feel that if as a country we have better and well defined values, we can go together the same direction. You reminded me of the Singapore experience and how in one generation it founding fathers were able to turn around the economy of the country. Kenya as a nation has along way to go- But the fundamental challenge is- how is easy or hard for us already divided by tribes, economic, political and religion can we create those shared beliefs and values I thought TJRC NCIC and other constitutional commissions would give the country the road map. Unfortunaltely they have been rendered toothless due to various reason. And here i agree with you that we need to reinvent and reinvest in those values that hold communities together. From your corporate governance approach- i saw that you are passionate about major problems facing this country. The grievous issue facing Africa is deficiency of servant hood and men-women committed to institutional credibility, transparency and commitment to excellence, which can only be actualized by identifying those common values- and trust me, we will be on the same blueprint that Singapore and other nations build their economies.
