This picture is one of my favorite! Matthew Schmidt and I met for the first time at 11 am Friday morning. We hopped in the van, we all introduce ourselves and realize that this our new RTB family until we reach Hampton Beach. My team knew I was nervous about running in the sand. We talked about, they gave me strategies to make it to the finish line. This is Matt giving me a big hug at TA #35 and wishing me luck! He said, YOU CAN DO IT! This is exactly what happens at Calumet every summer! Kids come from all over with their own challenges. By Friday night at the last campfire everyone is hugging their new friends and thinking...I am going to miss the awesome place ...Camp Calumet. I had the same feeling yesterday as I did when I was a camper for the first time in 1986! Thank you Mandatory Fun van 2 for an amazing 30 hours of running and having FUN!!#cclrtb
