This pisses me off, but not for the reason that the article WANTS me to be pissed off. The handout for the assignment is actually correct (for the most part). No matter how much she and others want to deny it, Judaism, Islam, and Christianity are all based upon worship of the same deity. That doesnt bother me. The part that bothers me is the one part of the article that IS correct - if a teacher had pulled this crap with any other religion as the basis, the ACLU would have had a FIELD DAY with all the lawsuits they brought up in the first ten minutes. If the teacher gives similar assignments regarding all major religions, and if each assignment paints that religion in its own self-promoting positive light, then I would have no issue with any of this.
