This post can be better understood by folks who are abreast of Indian politics and who can speak a smattering of Hindi. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Narendra Modi calls for a cabinet meeting on the even of his visit to Japan and consults his colleagues on how he should address Mr. Shinzo Abe, the Japanese PM whom he would be meeting in the next couple of days. Rajnath Singh says Shinzo ji; Arun Jaitley says Shinzo san; Ravishankar Prasad says My dear Shinzo; Amit Shah suggests Shinzo bhai; Smriti Irani suggests Shinzo zade. While the meeting is in progress, LKA walks in and presents to NM, an aerial route map to Japan from Delhi - in his current role as margdarshak, such responsibility falls upon his shoulders. NM thanks LKA and excuses him from the meeting, turns to his colleagues and tells them, puffing up his 56 chest, that none of the suggestions suit his personal oratorical style. Though others do not know, NM is very close to MMS who helped him become PM. So, off he goes to MMS with this problem. At MMSs home is Mani Shankar Iyer who snaps into attention the moment he cites NM and makes arrangements to serve him tea. MMS listens to NM and then ever so slowly grins. NM raises his eyebrow and asks him... MMS ji...kya aap ke paas solution hai. MMS says - easy my friend....easy. You must shed your Gujarathi style and switch over to true Punjabi tradition in such. NM raises his eyebrow a little further and MMS responds Just call him Abe yaar !!
