This post comes with a rant warning... I am only speaking my opinion! I was just scrolling through my Facebook feed like every other night and came across a post I am completely disgusted by. The writer of this post was making fun of the unfortunate events happening in Siria, Egypt and Afghanistan. Claiming that Muslims are threatening to with hold corner stores, hotels and taxi services if we do not back off. This is a vulgar, racist and completely inappropriate Facebook post. Why must people feel they can post such inappropriate discrimination on a social media platform. Also their friends were commenting LOL, and haha thats hilarious.... It is absolutely NOT funny or hilarious. Stop encouraging stereotyping of the Muslim community. I strongly believe education is the key to this kind of ignorance. So to anyone out there with bias or stereotypes about a certain population; instead of spewing hate on Facebook go chat with someone from that demographic, and learn about their culture/faith from a reliable source. If you do not agree with this post and want to continue to be racist or discriminate against people; please delete me from your Facebook. If you have questions or would like to understand more inbox me I would love to answer any questions you may have. Sorry about how long this is, I was just really upset by this post.
