This post has been scrubbed of all questionable words. GVFD Update: BULL MANURE TO THE CHIEF I attended the GVFD 8-21-14 Regular meeting. My intentions were to video tape the meeting. Now folks as an informer/messenger the poor taste that the GVFD and its supporters leaves in our mouths is also visible to our eyes and our ears. First lets looked at the stacked attendance. The chief and his concubine, Director Hardy and scary Gorham both with their wives. Highly over paid district mechanic/ parts runner John Sutherland. Also a district captain and another firefighter on duty. A woman and her husband Peggy and Chicken Esquibel and a few others.( Chicken is his actual name ). All these people have a very vested motive in not wanting change in the GVFD because the favorites have found the Goose that laid the Golden Valley egg for themselves , so sorry if the people of the community get in the way. Next you will see that the *Esquibels constantly trying to intimidate me from my legal right to film at a public meeting. During both of the two times they were out of order, not having been recognized by the Chair, nothing was s said to them, like possibly , Excuse me Mr. and Mrs Esquibel you were out of order for not being recognized for addressing the Board. In addition you were out of order addressing a fellow citizen in the meeting. Mr. Consolato is exercising his legal right. None of that was said but after a long and incompetent display of this board dysfunctional buffoonery a vital principle core topic came up. Good ol Chief Tom suggest the Board clarify the newest language in documents written only by the chief and for the chief, giving the workplace death sentence to any good firefighter who consults with your elected board member without first going through HIS prevue. This is the very same situation we had with the last BOS with County Manger Ron Walker. In both cases the dictators are the actual employees ( County Manager/ Fire Chief ) and the Elected Boards cannot be manipulated like this. Well I was just shutting down my equipment near the end of the meeting when they came to this point of the discussion and I blurted out Bull ….. Yes I was out of order but stunned by just a preposterous power grabbing, dictating declaration. Within in seconds of my statement Director Paul Gorham ( an appointed Rubber Stamp Director and not even the chair ) was calling the goons to take me out. Clearly friendlies to the district may break the rules but critics may not. Gorham was screaming call the sheriff and I was saying, I will leave on my own. The secrets, the attorneys, the biased board against the community has come to an all time disgraceful low as elections near. All Boards know there is a proper way to conduct the removal of a citizen in the fashion used by the Mohave County Board of Supervisors. Why does this GVFD Board act like all rules, procedures, laws and the peoples wishes are not significant? Of course their was other business and funny business as usual discussed but I have condensed a few highlights of the meeting for you to digest. Gorham has an anger management issue which makes him a most ineffective and dangerous rubber stamp candidate . In attendance was also Erlene Mahar, another candidate enamored by Chief Toms heroism. Her previous boyfriend Davies was honored for helping pull a victim from a fire with ODonohue. Davies took his own life in the same house with Mahar the day after the award.Given these issues Mahar is most likely to be another rubber stamp if elected. Jim Consolato *The Esquibels are neighbors of mine in the Walnut Creek Estates of Golden Valley. Peggy admitted to taking down a legal election poster (A crime ) and cited a reason which contained no verifiable information.
