This post is for all those who believe in Angels.....Please read those dear friends who are not personally tagged as some friends have a connection closer to me than others but this is equally important and with the same amount of love. My life has been filled with so many heartaches and I have had to learn to wait for the broader meanings before I have understood blessings received, but there has always been SOMEBODY looking after me...Yep I am a little cuckoo, but here is some of the crazy loony things that make me see life in the World According to A ... 1. My grandad Chitty was in a bunker in the World War and 2 friends where struck my lightening, but not him...Whenever he visited us on the Highveld mom made a point of keeping curtains closed when the electrical storms hit.. 2. Grandpa Tommy was a prisoner of war and when he returned Granny Maude and him split up, but she all those years ago became an advocate for trade unions as it was not easy for woman in those days... 3. Granny Doris was an angel and was known for giving the last food in the cupboard to the destitute and mom fondly referred to Grandpa Chitty as having to lock the cupboards so that he could feed their cricket team... 4. Dad dated 2 Yvonnes before he met mom Yvonne number 3... Yip, one Yvonne lived in Cape Town and he only realised when he went to visit that she was tainted with some local heritage in the era of segregation...How scandalous it was to find out all those years ago... 5. I think you guys get the drift and so much is in my memoirs, but here is why I am actually posting this today.... 6. Peter was meant to be born on the 13th October, but he came very early and weighed only 970 grams. 7. My package from my work paid for his Medical. 8. Dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer the week Peter was born, and if Peter was not born so early Dad would never have met him. 9. This week is my wedding anniversary and dads heavenly birthday...We have not celebrated our wedding anniversary for the past 18 years as it was hard losing dad and mom... 10. I looked after mom when dad passed away and made her many promises and have kept them and I believe dad has sent an Angel this week to tell me all is OK... 11. I have been going on for months about possibly moving and here is why.. 12. I stopped working when my voice and trachae became a problem and getting the medical aid to cover my 6 monthly botox and lasering became a nightmare... 13. My boss in Cape Town at the time mocked my voice and called me derogative terms, but I kept my chin up and stuck it out. 14. Peter was attacked by a Boerboel during this time and the reconstructive surgery broke the bank... 15. Peters epilepsy became so bad that we had to stop his schooling for a year as the Dr said he would die...We now spend R6000 on his meds before the month starts and medical aid is paid. 16. In May Francois came home one night and said we are in big trouble as with all the medical expences and things we have had to do financially and the promises we have made we are now in even more poo as Sasol started a Project Phoenix in November 2013 of changing their management structure and all staff had to reapply for posts....Been the wrong side of 40, male and the lighter shade of pale it was not looking good and we would have to reevaluate our lives...He had kept quiet all those months as he did not want to put more stress on my health or Peters 17. Here we were not only trying to keep Peter alive, but we were going to lose our financial nest egg and without meds and medical aid we will be having to run the risk of even more brain deterioration of our only child...The meds Peter receives is not supplied by the National Health and without it he would slowly die..Changing medical aid would not be an option either as the waiting period for new members and Peters age would count against him. 18. Well long story cut short, my prayers have been answered this morning in the week of my wedding annniversary and dads heavenly birthday and Francois is been kept on by Sasol... This will give us some more time to stabalise Peters health...and a few years Grace.... 19. Yes we are moving to Sasolburg... 20. House goes on the market next week..I want to paint the doors first and I have finished packing what I am keeping... 21. No, I cannot keep all the promises I made to mom, but God has answered my prayers and giving Peter some more time.... Thank you for the best anniversay present ever Dad... 22. Port Elizabeth can wait a few more years..... NOW TELL ME THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS GUARDIAN ANGELS..
