This post is not intended for ANYONE to share with anyone else. These are my words on my page, and I want them to stay here. Tonight I miss operating as an autonomous professional. I have a greater appreciation for my role as a school speech-language pathologist than Ive ever had. Ill admit that I miss my paycheck. I miss having my downtime be MY downtime. Tonight Im mentally and emotionally tired and see no end. All I see is that I wish I had a job that pays me a halfway decent salary, or that I could have my own business to focus my energies as Id prefer. Or maybe a bit of both. Its time to either simplify, streamline and finish the thing, or take what Ive learned back to meaningful practice as an autonomous professional. Too many little inconveniences are getting in my way for a project thats feeling too cumbersome and unwieldy. What will truly be the return?
