This post is referencing a Craigslist ad.......This man was contacted by a rescue volunteer letting him know that kill buyers scope ads for horses under $600 and offered a contract to the man to go along with the horse should he sell it to protect it. This was the mans response to her: (sometimes you just cant educate the uneducated) Mam I dont have a problem selling them to kill buyers if it wasnt for kill buyers there wouldnt be much of a horse market they would not be worth anything but first and foremost this horse isnt heavy enough they would buy him but not for much they like good fat 1000-1300lb horses but people talk about kill buyers and how there garbage but its the human society and angles for horses and animal rights people that are the dumb ass where do yall people think people would go with all these ol horses that are crazy criple and blind and unwanted because thanks to those people there is no slaughter houses in United States so the horses have to be trucked all the way to Canada or Mexico wich is bull shit I am not by any means for horse slaughter but bottom line is its something that needs to take place to help the market and to dispose of the horses that arnt any use plus people dont look at the long term affect the horse market has plemeted bottomed out because there not worth much all the big breeders and big horse people are out of business because of the value there isnt any money to be made because the killer market was closed in United States around 2007 so it caused horse prices to hit rock bottom and colts and outher horses wasnt worth anything and kill buyers are buying United States horses for bargan prices because they have to ship them so far if we had a plant in United States they would and could pay more because they would not have to ship them so far plus it wouldnt be so hard on the horses too I could go on and on about this but its not going to matter I appreciate your concern but mam Iv grew up and raised horses and been in the horse business all my life as well as my dad uncles and grandfather its all I know but bottom line the horse slaughter us benificel to every one no one will see it especially people like you but I understand that but its going to keep on like yall are doing and there isnt going to be any horses one day because no one reproduces them because of the value and there is going to be horse slaughter period but if there was one in United States they could pay more and it would make all horses higher and then people may would start reproducing them because it would actually be a money making opperation but it is what is but if youre so worried about horse slaughter why dont yall buy up all these horses and keep them and feed them and give them good homes buy all the horses under 600 as you say that would be the way to do it but I appreciate your time as well as your concern have a blessed day mam Sent from my iPhone
