This post is to clear the air and hopefully put any uneasy feelings at ease.... As you all know we found a good piece of property in Florence KS and acted on it because it is a great piece of property. The deal we made with the land owner went as agreed and the lease was signed and is currently on file. We are all extremely excited as things are starting to finally fall into the right place for us... Groups are coming together to start getting the Adopt a trail program going and we are ready to get to work on our new property.... In the mean time our current land owner has had some unexpected family situations come up.... We all know how those go right? Keep in mind we still have a signed lease.... His son who is not on the deed to the property took it upon himself to do everything in his power to try and put a stop to CKORP opening on his fathers land and his father having anything to do with it. He has gone as far as taking the lease and a check and mailing it back to us. That decision is not his to make.... It is ours as a board and as a team. Do we push the issue because we have a signed lease?? So where do we go from here you ask? Thats what youre for... We are currently looking at another piece of land it is a better piece of property but will be more expensive...we are keeping our options open on both pieces of property and any legal help or advice in general would be great at this point! Long story short at this point we are still planning on opening a park on Jan 1 If this does not happen and the date gets pushed back anyone with a season pass will have that honored for 1 yr from the date of open. If anyone does want a refund on their pass please let one of the board members know so we can get that handled and get your pass back from you. We will keep you in the loop on the situation as much as possible and as things progress we appreciate all your time, effort, and dedication. Thank you again!
