This pretty much sums it up. We are living in a society which is the wealthiest of all time to date. Most people and non-human animals are far worse off. Do we prioritize well enough when we think about helping others? If you got 1 hour or 10 $ to help or donate to someone, how do you decide who to help? Maybe putting your resources in the most effective actions would be a more decent act. E.g. What do you get for just one dollar? Meta Charities like Giving What We Can estimate that children are dewormed for a total of about $0.50 per child. So, you can increase tremendously the living conditions of two children per year if you donate just 1 $. Or you could use your resources in another way like paying 20 $ for an new iPhone charger to help out he poor guy in the video ;)
