This quote completely speaks to me regarding my philosophy on life. I really do think about this everyday, about navigating outside the bounds of how society and my Western cultural upbringing have taught me to live. I continually work on coming to peace with my ideas on success, happiness, and relationships -- as they fall so outside the norm for most, apparently making people uncomfortable / are met with uncertain responses. “Everything that you’ve learned, everything that’s taught you to adopt a role and play by socially and culturally dictated rules, acts as an artificial limit to the totality of your being.
