Ordinary citizens, students, teachers, priests, nuns, Christian & Muslim religious leaders are in the streets, with slogans & signs that strongly condemn the suicide bombing and call for greater protection of religious minorities. ... The Muslim community is also in mourning, showing its solidarity with Christians. Maulana Tariq Shah, a Muslim scholar in Peshawar, said that "Islam teaches us to protect minorities. This is a barbaric act."
