The Individual Education Plan (IEP): A Workshop for Parents Does your child have an IEP or has an IEP been recommended for your child? Want to learn how to use your child’s IEP to support and further their academic success? The Peel board’s special education department will hold an IEP information session on November 26 at 7 p.m., available for free to all parents. The session is intended for parents of students who currently have an IEP, a plan developed by the school for students who require additional special education support. You will learn: How the IEP is developed What information is included in an IEP How does the school use the IEP How is the IEP updated and evaluated How do you find out your child’s progress And where to find more information Refreshments will be provided, funded by the Parent Involvement Committee.
